Ensure Access to safe drinking water

SAFEWATER is a research centre of excellence bringing together expertise from Ulster University (UK), the University of Medellin (Colombia), the University of Sao Paulo (Brazil), Centro de Ciencia y Tecnología de Antioquia (Colombia), and Fundacion Cantaro Azul (Mexico). The centre has been established through funding from the Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF) Research Councils UK Collective Fund, under Agreement Reference EP/P032427/1.

Initially focused on the development of water technologies appropriate for rural contexts, the organization has evolved towards the generation of integral and participatory strategies, along with a strategy of systemic change focused on reducing the inequality gap that exists around the human right to water and sanitation in Mexico.
