Congratulations to our WASH and Behaviour Change Course Participants
31st January 2019
Congratulations Team Safewater Research ! With participation across all our consortium, 10 participants successfully completed a course to gain knowledge on effectively incorporating behaviour strategies into WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene) program design and delivery. The course was delivered by the International WaterCentre and consisted of 8 distance learning modules including a final class, graduation and reflections. Our consortium which spans across Northern Ireland, Mexico, Colombia and Brazil benefited from gaining more tools to guide the integration of behaviour change into WASH programmes. This forms an important part of the Safewater project where we are using NGOs, on the ground along with University research expertise to work with the local communities for supply of safe low cost drinking water. The successful participants were:
Fundación Cántaro Azul – Ms Ane Galdos Balzategu, Ms Alejandra Valdes Sanchez and Ms Lisa Fleming
Ulster University – Dr Samuel Ginja and Dr Santosh Gaihre
University of Medellín – Professor Maria Isabel Mejia and Dr Fernando Guzmán
CTA – Ms Catalina Herrera Barrientos and Ms Sandra Castro
University of São Paulo – Dr Lyda Patricia Sabogal-Paz
Congratulations again all around!
